The Latin American Motorcycle Association, or LAMA for short, was created by Mario Nieves of Chicago, Illinois, in June, 1977. Currently there are 40 National Chapters and 60 International Chapters.

The LAMA Deltona Chapter was organiaze by David Vargas in 2005 and became an official chapter in October, 2006.
